Origins
The V Series was manufactured by Neve Electronics International, later folded into AMS Neve after the 1985 Siemens and AMS restructuring. The V3 itself was introduced in the mid-1980s, with the operator handbook dated 1986. It followed the legendary 80 Series and preceded the later Neve VR — a direct line through the most consequential decade in console design.
