Long before Soul Butterfly, before SOL University, before the BOOM-BOX Studio, there was a classroom in California. Stephanie Jupiter chose podiatry on purpose — a discipline that other doctors waved off, a discipline that, in her hands, would become the entry point to the whole patient.
She graduated from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in 1996. The credential that followed her name — DPM — was never the point. The point was that feet carry stories. And someone had to listen.

First decade. First scars.
Hospital floors, surgical suites, and the slow accumulation of cases that would later become a philosophy.
She built a practice the old way — one patient, one chart, one follow-up at a time. Foot and ankle surgery. Hospital medicine. Wound care. The CWP credential came later but the work began here: complex diabetic wounds, post-surgical infections, the cases other specialists rotated past.
Patients began arriving with more than they came in for. A foot ulcer would surface a story about grief. A diabetic neuropathy would surface a story about a marriage. She kept listening. She kept the door open longer than the appointment slot.

Through the 2000s and into the 2010s, the work shifted without an announcement. The clinical care stayed sharp, but around it grew something harder to bill for: education. She would rather teach a patient than medicate one. She would rather sit one more minute than refer one more out.

In 2010 she opens Soul Butterfly Healthcare as a multi-specialty group in Houston, Texas — the kind of practice where everyone knows their podiatrist by first name. Her WebMD listing holds a perfect rating. Medicare, Medicaid, four commercial insurances accepted. The phone — (281) 905-5586 — rings steadily.
She keeps showing up. More than two decades deep, she is still that combination of surgeon, educator, and quiet listener that her earliest New Orleans patients remembered. The directories start to notice — Healthgrades, Orthopedic.io, CLS Health, Our Health Network. Documentation everywhere. The work, still mostly in person.

Soul Butterfly takes flight.
Soul Butterfly Healthcare and SOL Book, LLC arrive. The practice becomes a platform.
In May 2023 she joins Atrium Medical Center in Stafford, Texas — the hospital-system chapter of a private-practice career. Around it, Soul Butterfly Healthcare keeps doing what it has always done: educate, then medicate. SOL Book, LLC publishes. SOL University teaches. The Wellness Lifestyle Membership opens a digital front door.
For the first time, the philosophy can outlive the appointment. A patient in Houston can become a member in Lagos. A surgical technique can become a chapter. A bedside sentence — educate, don't medicate — can become a curriculum.
